Faroe Islands have many stories to tell and lots of things to show you and birds that will love you and people that will take care of you.
Faroe Islands are only 320 kilometers (200 miles) from north-northwest of Great Britain and between Norway and Iceland. The area is about 1.400 square kilometers (541 square miles) with population of 48.700 (2015).
Between 1035 and 1814, the Faroe Islands were part of Kingdom of Norway. The 1814 the Kiel Treaty granted Denmark control over the islands, along with two other Norwegian regions: Greenland and Iceland.
Now Faroe Islands have been a self-governing country within the Danish Realm since 1948.
Faroe Islands are lovely place to visit. Long history and interesting culture will bring you closer to the nature when you visit one of the 18 major islands of the Faroe Islands.
