This trip takes you from the south to the west, north and east of Iceland.
The west of Iceland offers you the fjords of the west coast including Borgarfjorður, Skagafjörður, the hot spring area of Deildartunguhver and the magnificient waterfall Hraunfoss also known as the lava waterfall. Day 1: Arrival to Iceland – Check in at Hotel in Reykjavik.
Day 2: Drive along the west of Iceland and Skagafjörður and visit the Icelandic turf farm of Glaumbær before arriving in Akureyri, the capital of the north. Enjoy the highlights of Akureyri. (approximately 470 km, 292 miles)
Day 3: Explore the whale capital of the north, Húsavík and two extravagant waterfalls. Take a walk in this protected area of Mývatn, explore the volcanic and hot spring area. (approximately 300 km, 186 miles)
Day 4: Drive along the east fjords of Iceland and explore the fishing villages often filled with history. Stop in one of the towns famous for being the Old French Fishermen Town. (approximately 390 km, 242 miles)
Day 5: Spend a day of contrasts. See the icebergs on the Glacier Lagoon and take a walk in Skaftafell National Park with views of glaciers and volcanoes. (approximately 350 km, 217 miles)
