Our tour begins by driving over the mountain heath Hellisheiði towards Selfoss town and then along the south shore to Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Our next stop is at Þórsmörk, a mountain ridge named after the Norse god Thor and also famous for its beautiful valleys, trees and green moss. Þorsmörk is situated in the South of Iceland between the two glaciers Tindafjallajökull and Eyjafjallajökull and also popular among hikers and campers.
After enjoying a walk in Þórsmörk, we proceed to a small town of Hvolsvöllur where it is possible to buy sandwich.
Our next stop is at at a famous canyon called Stakkholtsgjá where you can enjoy a walk and its scenery. At Stakkholtsgjá, you also get to cross a small river before coming to a waterfall. This tour is truly unforgettable for the nature lover at heart and ideal as a hiking trip.
