Greenland is a lovely place to visit. Everyone knows that. Greenland is within the Danish Realm. Greenland is located between the well known Arctic and the Atlantic Ocean. Greenland is not in Europe from physio-graphically point of view. Greenland is a part of North America but even though Greenland has been politically and culturally associated with Europe, especially Norway, Denmark and Iceland. As colonial powers more associated with Norway and Denmark.

In 2008, the people of Greenland passed a referendum that supported greater autonomy. Around 75% of the people was in favour.

Greenland is the world’s largest island. Over 3/4 of Greenland is covered by the only permanent ice sheet outside Antarctica. The population in Greenland is 56.480 (2013. It is the least denely populated country in the world.

Greenland has been inhabited off and on for at least 4.500 years by Arctic peoples. They are all expected to be migrated there from Canada. Norsemen settled the uninhabited southern part of Greenland beginning of the 10th century. Inuit peoples arrived in the 13th century.
